FAQ
Is this a legal job? What visa will I work on?
Yes, we only deal with legal employment, all our teachers receive a work visa for an English teacher.
Can I get employed without a higher education?
Unfortunately, no. Employers do not consider candidates without a higher education, in which case the candidate will not be able to get a work visa, so a diploma of completed education is required for work.
Can I go without work experience?
Yes, of course! Half of our candidates did not have any teaching experience before, but thanks to our well-established training system, we will be able to present you as a confident teacher. Our job is to help you become a strong candidate, believe in yourself and your abilities. Many of the guys worked in an office before this, and their work was completely unrelated to children or English, but they did it! You can do it too!
When can I go?
You can go all year round, but the largest number of positions are before the start of the school year.
What documents are required?
To officially get a job and obtain a work visa, you must have: 1. A passport valid for at least one year. 2. A diploma of higher education in any specialty. 3. A certificate of no criminal record. 4. A certificate of language proficiency. 5. TEFL/TESOL certificate.
What is a TEFL certificate? What to do if you don’t have one?
TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) is a certificate that gives you the right to teach English to students in a country where English is not the first (native) language. It doesn’t take much effort to get the certificate. If there is still a lot of time before your departure, you can complete the course yourself in 1.5-2 months. Or we will do it for you and get the result in 7-10 days.
Where will I work?
There are several types of educational institutions: public school, kindergarten, training center.
How long is the contract?
The duration of the contract depends on the type of educational institution, for example, in public schools, contracts are concluded for a period of 9 months (from September to May). In training centers and kindergartens, contracts are concluded for a period of 1 year with the possibility of extension.
How many hours do teachers work?
The number of teaching hours directly depends on the company and can vary from 60 to 100 hours per month, or from 15 to 25 hours per week. If you wish, you can always take on additional hours, which even your company can offer, thereby increasing your monthly income.
What will my schedule be?
The schedule depends on the type of educational institution in which you will work. For example, in public schools, teachers work from Monday to Friday, and lessons can be from 7:30 to 16:30. In a kindergarten, the schedule will be similar. In a training center, everything is exactly the opposite - work in the evening on weekdays, and from morning to evening on weekends. If your training center combines both a public school and a kindergarten, then lessons can be in the morning and at lunchtime or at lunchtime and in the evening, depending on the schedule.
What is the age of the students?
The main age of students is from 3 to 14 years. In public schools you can find classes with older students aged 15-16, and in kindergartens - with younger children from 2 years old.
Do i need to know Vietnamese, Chinese or Thai?
This is not necessary for teaching. The material is explained only in English.
Are there any age restrictions?
There are no official age restrictions, but many companies prefer to recruit candidates up to 40 years old. But! If the teacher is active and shows good results, then there is a chance for candidates older than that to get a job. Our oldest teacher is 52 years old.
